Job Description

To support the development and execution of all talent management policies, processes, systems and initiatives of the company. Planning and delivery of key talent building processes such as Training and Leadership Development. Act as a tactical liaison with external entities for attracting and acquiring talent through internships, career fairs, and other initiatives. Responsible for driving excellence in the employee onboarding and orientation experience of new hires, starting from selection to probation confirmation.

Skill Requirements

  • Kuwaiti National Preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in the relevant field or Diploma with equivalent years of experienc.
  • Professional certificates from as SHL, CIPD, SHRM or others will be added advantage
  • Strong English and Arabic language skills (written and spoken)
  • 4 - 6 years years of expereince , out of which 3 years of experience in a similar role in recruitment, training and development

Responsibilities

  • Assists on the planning, development and implementation of the HR strategy with a specific accountability for talent management initiatives.
  • Conducts Training Need Analysis by gathering training needs for departments based on feedback from various sources including probation and annual performance reviews.
  • Researches relevant training programs through KFAS or other external training providers to cater to identified training needs, evaluating technical and content expertise, comparing training fees and delivery mechanisms.
  • Recommends suitable training courses to department heads for their requested training needs to obtain nominations, secure approvals for external training programs and liaise with external training providers for registering employees.
  • Organizes approved in-house training sessions through external vendors, as well as internal training and blended learning initiatives; coordinates training scheduling, set-up, course materials, hand-outs and other related requirements.
  • Measures training effectiveness of programs by conducting training evaluation, monitors employee 'Training Action Plans' to ensure application of learning at work and provides feedback to the respective trainer, trainee and their reporting manager.
  • Adheres to budgets in conjunction with department’s training budgets, tracks expenses in cooperation with Finance Department and highlights progress or issues on a regular basis by presenting periodic report to HR Director.
  • Develops and maintain relationships with key partners for furthering the company’s Nationalization requirements such as local universities, authorities (MGRP), talent development programs (Kuwait Fund, Tamakan), to source talent as well as position URC as an employer of choice by organizing presentations and leading the company participation in career fairs and other initiatives.
  • Manages the internship program, liaising with universities and local entities to obtain profiles of interested candidates, forwarding to department heads to obtain approvals, ensuring completion of documentation, attendance requirements, project reports and providing certificates.
  • Supports the recruitment process and acts as backup in case of peak load, absence or unavailability for Talent Acquisition and Development Specialist.
  • Enhances and ensures compliance with the due diligence, offer, onboarding, induction and orientation processes for the new hires and internal transfers as applicable.
  • Prepares conditional offer for selected candidate based on successful due diligence process and internal compensation and benefits analysis, ensuring endorsem*nt of the hiring function head on the same.
  • Proactively liaises with IT, HR, Administration and Marketing teams to ensure timely provision of IT assets, announcements, benefits, etc.
  • Administers joining formalities of the new hires ensuring that all the documentation provided by the new hire is accurate and up-to-date and coordinates with immigration team to finalize new hire immigration requirements.
  • Assists in preparation, update and monitoring of manpower budgets, recruitment reports and metrics.
  • Manages documentation and creation or update of employee records through URC’s HRIS system related to adding new employees, training & development, etc. by following established processes and procedures.
  • Maintains an up-to-date catalogue of Job Descriptions, reviews and updates Job Descriptions on an annual basis or earlier as required.
  • Analyses jobs and prepares new Job Descriptions using primary and secondary sources of data and obtain requisite approvals. Provides HR support services to the business and staff and may serve as a point of contact for all talent management activities and tasks.
  • Updates periodic HR reports, analysis and other relevant information and trends as requested.
  • Supports the performance management process by generating reports and analytics, following up timely completion of Goal Setting and Performance Evaluation modules, as requested.
  • Coordinates with the marketing department to provide employee information/updates for designing internal and external communication, announcements and newsletters.
  • Prepares HR announcements and sends to appropriate mailing lists as per HR procedures.
  • Performs other duties from time to time as assigned by the direct manager.
  • Checks-in regularly with new hires to ensure they are settling in well; dispatch probation feedback forms as per schedule, track and follow up for timely completion.
